If anyone in the B12S would have played BSU this week, they would have lost. Period.

Also, VT butchered the clock on their last drive. WTF?
And Boise's uni suck major ass.
* Here's another question; does anyone ever say NO to Nike? Does Nike ever walk into a room at a school with some crazy-ass uniform design and hear "Get the fuck outta here with that shit!"

You don't understand how bad this is now that ESPN has something to sink their teeth into.

I hate this argument.
'If X team hadn't fucked up, then Y team wouldn't have won/wouldn't have kept it close/etc etc.'
Of course not, that is football, that is sports. If every single team played and coached every single down perfectly, then every game would end in a 0-0 tie.

Any team, not just Boise would be hard pressed to do well against a schedule like that.

Texas has a WAY better defense than either of these teams and a game with either would be play called to their weaknesses....and our special teams would have not have had such problems.
Texas beats both these teams.
I don't know if Tech does or not, but don't make that a "big 12s" problem.
We win this game vs. either team.

Understand please, this is how the rest of us feel about texas being being crammed down our throats all the time......

fair enough.
believe it or not, this type of thinking begat Texas leaving the Big 12 and TAMU being invited to the SEC.
Texas can't STAND not having all of the attention....I will give you that.

And all the money.
And all the clout.
Which is why I now agree with your idea from a couple of months back that they may be on their way to independence.

I think for worse....but realistically we are looking at another year or two from 4 super conferences from which will impregnate a play off.

Well, there is no convincing you that Rice isn't in the same galaxy as BSU or VT, but based on what I saw, UT wouln't have pulled off a W against BSU or VT this weekend.

yeah, how we did vs. Rice.....having 17 freshmen in the two deep and trying out an entire new set of offensive play calls would have been EXACTLY the same if we had a marquis game either here or on the road.
come on man...this isn't play station.

Exactly. You're going to make any and all arguments to make sure that in this make believe UT vs. BSU/VT scenario that UT absolutely would not lose to either of them. I say, if UT would have opened away from home, at a not so neutral site, against either of those teams, they would not have won.

Hostile, shut up...seriously.
Who impressed out of the Big 12 S?
UT had a not so dominating win over Rice
A&M and BU played a Southland Conference team
Tech wasn unimpressive against SMU
OU struggled with a WAC team
OSU was the most 'impressive' against WSU
Back to my original point, BSU would have handled any B12S team this weekend. Play station or not.

"no"
at least here at Texas we play better defense than that and special teams than that.
we would have beat either team, and I believe that other teams in this conference would have as well.
Nothing but Obama is more over rated that Frank Beamer.

also, the sips don't have 1/10th the running game vtech has. taylor was the leading rusher. boise controlled the line on both sides most of the game. tu's o-line isn't stellar right now. it would have been a low scoring game, that's for sure. at the end of the day, tu has a GREAT defense, but a lackluster offense. boise is very good on both sides. i just don't see tu winning...maybe later in the year with added experience

Sorry, Techsan, but we would have not fucked up on special teams the way Va Tech did tonight and our running game might have had some light vs those 275 DT's from Idaho.
This wouldn't have been a contest.
Because Tech is re-inventing itself does not mean the rest of us, namely the ones that have been to multiple national championship games, would have folded vs. either of these two.
