one of the guys on RRS.com sent Kent Hance an email that basically said I hope you'll fight tooth and nail against this decision and Hance sent him a response that read "I am not happy about this. We are exploring all options"
There might not be anything he can do, but Hance has proven to be a fighting son of a bitch with strong political ties.
will be interesting to see what comes out of our BOR meeting today at 2:00
not sure if it matters, but Hance responded to an email...

this is not rivalries, so i don't want this to come off as the same. but, i just don't see what tech delivers. so, what power do they have? certainly, hance is not paying 10mm to bolt the conference especially with no where to go. so, what can they do?

i hope Tech can do something, but what cards do they have to play? They can't piss off the state government. Not if they ever want to be Tier 1.

Hance has got no chance, but if he goes for it he'll prove he's got more balls than Mr. Bow Tie Bojangles in College Station.
If tech wrecks this thing, and kills this Frankenstein's monster of conference, I'll put a tech bumper sticker on my truck for a year.

Tech can't do shit alone. I think the only play they have is to rally the troops and hope tht enough of the other 9 will jump on board.

I'm afraid that's a pipe-dream. You've got four members of this conference who are doing cartwheels this morning. Neither they nor Mizzou are gonna say shit.

My guess is that enough politicians inserted themselves to fuck the whole deal up for all of us. You knew they wouldn't let Baylor get left out.
Bet you didn't know that Muy was the Shack moderator.

It appears there are many Texas fans rooting for Tech to blow this up as well.
I can not believe that we signed a 10 year committment to a group with out a TV deal done.
I was wondering how Beebe pulled that out of his ass, last minute, when he has been unable to for the last 15 fucking years.
This is staggering in its stupidity.
