staff missed a couple:

*McCoy for Heisman
*Little Game Bob

this is not speculation

Once again TA staff's refusal to implement a proper IP ban fucks the rest of us over as the fucking anti-christ continues shitting all over the board

i think the guy has decent takes and is pretty intelligent. he will obviously take his internet banter over the line at times, but i don't think he's that bad.

Yes. Do you know how TA's moderation system works? TA IP bans are *very* short term.

Well anyone who knows basic information about how the internet works can get around an IP ban in seconds. I dont know what you expect a "proper IP ban" to be.

I'm going to lay out on opining on BLK, but I will say that the surest way to tell a BLK sock is that the first things he does are:

a) call me out;
b) deny he is a BLK sock

what happens if someone is on a "shared" computer? like sharing a wireless router in an apartment, or going to the computing center on campus....would an IP ban affect EVERYONE that uses that internet connection?

first, "internet connection" is a very loose term.

in home computing, usually your router dishes out the IP addresses to the devices on its network (dynamic addressing). this has a variety of benefits that i wont go into, but it is how most home computing environments work without their users knowing what it actually means.

thing is, you can set your own static IP (static addressing) from just about any router out there (if necessary, by updating the firmware). any IP ban is literally worthless for anyone who knows the basics of how to configure a router (hub, switch, whatever for people who know what im talking about). i can get around an IP ban in about 20 seconds if i want to (just tried it actually, im pretty quick).

i know the fucking anti-christ. i know he knows the logistics of an IP ban. TA doesnt have the tool to deal with his type. the tool to deal with his type is a person who knows how to break the law to fuck up someones computer.

how do you think the iranians twittered about their revolution? hint: they proxied, which means they changed their IP addresses to get out of dealing with iran govt controlled name servers.
