The Big East will always have an inherent "image" problem due to its size. The Big 12 can afford to carry four deadweight teams (Iowa State, Kansas State, Colorado and Texas A&M) without the league's overall standing suffering.

Rick Reilly is an idiot who thinks he's funnier than he really is. He has some good stuff once in a while (like every 10th article), but the other stuff (like this) just sucks ass. It sure paints Colt in a weird light.

It does, which is weird considering everything I have seen written about him and interviews, certainly don't paint him in this light, but if he wins the NC and he is in fact a weirdo like this then who cares. Otherwise, this is not great coverage, it is like Reilly was reaching or Colt played along for the article.
