Tough loss, Ags

yeah, there is a lot of room to improve, but effort isn't one of them.
lot of less talented or just younger kids kept fighting and kept that close......J Johnson remains a tough son of a bitch and Gray might be the best running back in the Big 12 with such an inexperienced line blocking for him.

the Big 12 commissioner's primary role is to ensure that this conference keep the worst possible TV deal possible in all of college sports.
Va Tech and the ACC do better.
It is never in HD, you can never hear the crowd or get the atmosphere, the announcers continue to talk about nonsense while a play is happening, or they come back from commercial during or after a play.
You never know what fucking channel any of the games are on.
I was hoping TNT would stay involved.....they were new to it, but they put out a halfway good product.

if Texas has half the effort on the field that TAMU did today, this is already a blow out.
that falls square on the coaching.

I'd like to chop his fucking ass up into a million pieces then bury them in little debbie boxes all over Texas.
Motherfucker.

If he wasn't he wouldn't be getting all of the snaps.
Being a running back includes the blitz pick up assignments from D1 defenses and in this conference, you have to be able to play with out a full back and get out into the flat and catch a ball that is usually thrown over your shoulder in a hurry as the QB is trying to get rid of it.
If he didn't do all of that in high school, then he is not your best running back....yet.
He might not be your most highly touted high school running back, but everything starts over once you hit the DI field...and Gray has been - so far- a much better running back than anyone on your team or many of the other teams in the conference that I have seen
I haven't seen Hunter yet, and that lamb for Colorado (Stewart?) seemed to have a ton of burst..but I like Gray due to what he has done with the blocking he has done it with - same as JJ.
Speaking of that, Scott can't get on the field for Colorado either, I expect for similar reasons.

I dont think theres much question that Michael has more talent as a runner than Gray, even at this point, but again based on the above.....i have no problem with Gray taking the larger share of carries.

Uhhhh, because he isn't. The only reason he is getting the majority of the snaps over Michael right now is that Michael is still learning the offense, and he is better in pass protection. Anyone who has seen the two run knows who the better RB is without question.

Our problem is entirely one of scheme, not talent.

I'd say having shit tackles makes having a decent blocking back a little more important.
