Is Kyrie Irving visit for show or do we have a chance.

And does he walk on water like the basketball board thinks.

I'm afraid Bob might tongue kiss him if he see him.

Sounds like he is Duke's to lose. I'm hoping that the more he takes visits, the more the shine of Duke wears off. Who knows....Turgeon & Spinelli have done pretty solid in recruiting though, I will give them that. I'd be really surprised if he doesn't end up at Duke.

board has a quote that he's family friends with Spinelli

I don't following any recruiting, but seems to me Turge at least is getting some names to campus.

No doubt about that. Great pickup of the big man today. I still think we need a legit shooter. Hopefully Roberson can fill that role.

I just wish he would focus a little more on defense. I also really wish Elonu could have hung around. We would have had a shot at top 3 in the conference with him around. Now I think we're looking at middle of the pack again, hoping for a tourney bid and hoping to not draw the dreaded 8/9.

Kryie's dad played with and roomed with Spinelli at Boston University. We were also the first school to offer him.

I think he goes to Duke. Although, it's pretty funny to watch those dorks PANIC at the thought of him choosing A&M.

I'm happy with our pickup of Keith Davis today, however adding Irving would be a damn good 2010 haul with Branch coming in the year after.

agreed. But with Junior graduated I could see why he'd take a shot to move on.

gotta go deeper in the B12 tourney to get outta that 8/9 spot.

I have NOT conceded him to Duke. News through this whole process was that he wants to give us a real shot and look. The speculation that he is Dukes is just coming from the peanut gallery that thinks we have no shot. By no means do I think it is probable that he commits here, but I would give us at least a 20-30% chance. I think he decides after this visit, either way, and its down to us and Duke.

we've been doing more than this for quite some time. i remember people in shock when jamal gilchrist committed.... if you look at the names, we're a legit top 25 recruiting school and i think you can honestly say that, outside of MOST 5*, i don't think anyone is out of our reach. gotta admit, i never thought i'd see the day from going to basically every home bball game from 92 to 02 to where we'd be at this point w/ bball going to the dance, recruiting and watching our football program try it climb out of the muck that fran left it in.

i think one of the best things this team has going for it is its comradarie. seems they have a different feel amongst themselves than different schools and i really think that works to our advantage. for that reason, i really don't think you can write this lamb off until he pulls the trigger.

very exciting weekend coming up for him. hopefully we'll give him something to think about.
