the carrier file update seems to have jarred some of 3.1 issues out for whatever reason. i would still hold off on the software update though and just update the carrier file per the nerdery instructions.

My fucking iPhone has been dropping calls lately near my house. Have always had great reception here. Would that be a 3.1 issue (I installed it) or something freaky with the signal here? Yours truly, Technological Dumbass.

how did you do your update? recently, there has been a 3.1 update and then the MMS carrier file update just came out on the 25th. did you do one and then the other, both at once, or have you only done the 3.1 update? if you tell me the day you updated your software i can figure that out. if thats not the issue then i can troubleshoot you via email, but realize that sometimes ATT just sucks dick and theres nothing you can do about it.

updated 3.1 the other day when you bastards said I shouldn't do it (dumb ass Bohemian, I am) and then downloaded the carrier file update this evening.

well first, let me reiterate what you already said. you are a dumbass for upgrading when i specifically took ten seconds out of my day to make thread telling you not to.

but anyway, you are probably having an ATT issue. depending how long youve had the phone, you should do a full restore at some point though. the iphone isnt a phone, its a little computer. it, like any other machine with moving parts, needs maintenance as much as apple tries to convince you otherwise.

I updated mine via iTunes and it works like a charm.

I think most people having problems with it either dont know what they're doing or just like to pretend theres problems so they have something to occupy their lives with.

The way it embeds/expands is pretty sweet, imo.
