She's actually moving from Yuma, AZ. So at this point, anywhere in the world is a step up for them. Yuma SUCKS.
Others have said Sandusky is kind of ghetto, so I was a little worried to tell her that because she might freak out. but I went ahead and told her, and she said "do they not realize where you and I grew up?" So needless to say, she's still excited. I'm thrilled to be able to fly up there to visit them instead of the desert. I'd much rather play in the cold snow than the freaking hot sand.

sandusky is a big retirement destination and there's stuff to do year round. it's no where near ghetto - toledo isn't either for the most part. tell them to invest in a snowmobile. didn't you say you have peeps in detroit? weather is almost the exact same year round

my dad is in detroit. which is like a 2 1/2 hour drive from sandusky, i think.
i suppose the definition of "ghetto" is all relative. what's ghetto to some people isn't to others. we grew up in a shit part of san antonio. so if it's better than that area, they're doing good. and like i said before, anything is better than yuma.
