the "fumble" should have definitely been reviewed.

Fuck yeah it should have been reviewed, and the personal foul on the dude that got blocked into the holder was bullshit.

Seems like the NFL wanted to make sure the Steelers got their history making 6th SB.

i don't know that there is any other call to make. he was not blocked into the holder. he tripped and didn't realize where he was heading. that's just bad luck.

the 2 personal fouls on the drive before that one were way fucking worse. the facemask call on cromartie was actually exactly reverse...holmes had cromartie by the facemask and not vice versa. then the late hit on big ben occurred right when he was releasing the fucking ball.
and fuck yes, you should have reviewed that play. it's the biggest call in the biggest game of the year. at least fucking look at it.

not only that, but the Cardinals got hit with flags at absolutely the worst possible times. Hell ,one of Pittsburgh's scoring drives was helped along by THREE major penalties against the Cards.
I still can't believe they didn't review the last play.

The refs were WAY to involved in that game......don't care who you were rooting for.

just an FYI, the play was reviewed in the booth (the last 2 minutes of each half, all reviews come from upstairs).... and unless warner can throw a 10 yd complete pass with his forearm/elbow holding onto the ball, they got the call correct (empty hand rule,,,, the ball was knocked out of his hand BEFORE he started the forward motion of throwing the ball, thus resulting in his forearm and wrist pushing the ball forward)....
dont get me wrong,,, i wanted the red birds to win the game, but IMHO, the officials got at least that call correct...
let the bashing begin...

Not to join the tin-foil hat brigade here, but this is not the first time this has happened in a Pittsburgh Super Bowl. In 1975 the Steelers were the most penalized team in the NFL going into the Super Bowl vs Dallas. Not one penalty was called on Pittsburgh the entire game, despite the fact that Golden Richards got his ribs broken and Jack Lambert cheap-shoted Cliff Harris after a play right in front of the refs.

I'm going go ahead and say that Obama fixed this to reward the support by the Rooney family and the State of Penn.
Also sticking it to McCain's home state was a bonus.
