This is the football gods giving the go ahead for Auburn to be the underachieving big conference team. Look for A&M to be competing for MNC's in 2 years.

As long as Auburn has that one nut case donor calling all the shots, no one will touch that job with a 40' pole.

Lose, lose, lose deal there.

Apparently Chizik just fired much of his staff at ISU to try and improve that.

He just hit the fucking lottery here, cuz he was fixin' get fired there.

Saban will work his newbie ass worse than the Big 12 guys did, and the scrutiny will be insane from day one, with NO honeymoon period.

The Auburn fans already don't like this.

I forget who said it this week (Cowherd maybe?), but the statement was that Auburn is the chick you know that is a 6 but thinks she's a 10. Not only does she think she's a 10, she'll tell everybody she knows that she feels that way and try to take a dump in everyone's ice cream if she doesn't get the attention she needs. Oh, and she has a rich daddy. AU was STUPID to fire Tuberville, period. Chizik is a solid coach with connections at that school and can hit the ground rolling as far as recruiting goes but this was a kneejerk hire. He'll help shore the D up, but I don't see AU's last couple of moves as positive for them.

Not sure what Chizik has done at ISU since he got there that suggests he's ready for a bigtime SEC job. I think Auburn just Franned themselves.

My first thoughts. What the fuck are they doing? Their fanbase has to be just melting down right now.

if auburn is a "6" then wow. they're not elite, but they're a top 15-20 program, easy.

auburn's a big time program but the firing of tubberville wasn't smart with the market but losing at iowa state certainly doesn't make you a bad coach.

They are going to get killed on the recruiting side. Plus the pissed off fans/alumni.

This could wipe out the AD and university administration.

This has long term fuck up written all over it.
