Most of the hollywood "elite" have a high school education and have made millions. This gives them some kind of false superiority complex whereby they feel they know what is right for the common folk, who are wholly incapable of making said decisions. They push for socialist policies that divest people of any decision making ability (ie, social security because people can save for themselves).
If that doesn't do it for you, then I offer another thoery. Most of these celebrities you refer to live lives that are not rooted in reality. As such, they believe that some sort of a utopia-like state is possible. Thus, they back policies that promote the attainment of this perfect world. Welfare and other redistribution of wealth policies, as well as their stance on peace.
That's all I have now. I'll try to put forth some other theories if I think of any.

that and many of the people there are just trying to fit in. not too much unlike kids at a&m who really don't know why they're republican, have no idea what they believe in, why they believe in it, or why they dislike dems, but godammit, they're as FAR right as you can get and that makes them cool.
same difference w/ the exception that the LEFT is way more uneducated on the whole.
spent a week in LA and finally just blew up at this chick who said we were "stealing" iraqi oil. asked her if she could give me a synopsis of her knowledge of the global commodities market and how you could just sweep 5% (roughly speaking) of the world's supply under the globe...and if we were "stealing" it, she's assuming the iraqi people ever benefitted from it...they didn't.
i then asked her what she thought about the UN...she praised them...i then told her the only person who's EVER really STOLEN from iraq were UN employees, annan's son, i believe, in the oil for food scandal.
safe to say she stuttered for ten seconds before putting her tail b/w her legs and walking off.

I almost had to go see the Secret Life of Bees for the wife's birthday tonight. Luckily, someone at her work gave her tickets to the Avalanche game.

if true, that's pretty disturbing. what a piece of shit.
heard him say that FDR got on the TV the night the stock market fell and put the country at ease. only problem is FDR wasn't prez and the TV hadn't been invented.
if that was a rep that said that shit, you'd NEVER hear the end of it.

Disagree. He's actually following through on what he believes / pushes. They believe in socialized "charity." In his mind he's paying his piece; he's just doing it through taxes.

If even that. Besides the fact that most didn't have to really work to make their money so they have no clue about economics or taxes.
And most are potheads and crack whores and know that the libs will over look that as long as the check clears.

His tax records are public.
The FDR story was all over the blogs (not the news)
