I wanna know what's going on with the 2010 class. The shitbags at Rivals were apparently saying our coaches weren't calling any of the top recruits, and then the best recruit in the class, Connor Wood (QB out of Houston) shows up at the game on Saturday. There's another guy out of Cayuga in E. Texas that was supposed to be on the "not being contacted" list, and some dude posts that he saw Randy Jordan at the dude's game with his own two eyes. What the fuck gives? Either Rivals has an agenda or someone is not telling the whole truth here. Either way, it's bad when Rivals puts this kind of shit out there, whether it's true or not.

bohunk, i've heard the same as far as this staff being EXTREMELY slow on the 10 class even w/ just making and maintaining contacts, relationships.

colin almost had a coronary about it last week on the M&W board. I follow recruiting, but I'm not going to get all bent out of shape about it a year and a half before signing day.......especially if the whole story is not out there. Now if we're still losing on the field in 2009-10, then I'll be plenty pissed.

sweet sixteen/elite 8 next year? i'm not talking about the upcoming season

i'm going to wait before any predictions on next season.

this upcoming season will be the litmus test for turgeon's balls. i know he doesn't think so, but if he's going to win in this league w/ this talent, hes' going to have to step up the pressure D to create transition opps. This league is just too good on D to think you can roll out a mediocre offense and consistently succeed.

if he can coach that type of D, and i'm not talking bcg D, but just good solid pressure up top, then he'll be successful. rick barnes showed just how great he was last year when he transformed a team that seemed to not want any part of walking out past 20 and turned them into a big time defensive team.

we'll need to see the same from MT and i'm also hoping he cuts down on the bullshit fucking excuses and "woe is me" shit.

i think this year we finish 5th or 6th in the conference.

i think A&M will finish middle of the top half of the conference and be a bubble team. they lost some glue guys who meant a lot more than the box score indicates and are going to have to rely on new guys and some inexperienced guys to pick up the slack. carter needs to show he can do something besides spot up for 3 too. i that killed A&M in some games. i'd like to see a little 40 minutes of hell style too but i just happen to love that style of play so i want just about every team in the country to do that
