i was under the impression that keelan jackson's injury's brought forth a verdict from the NCAA that they wouldn't give the guy a medical RS year, which resulted in his playing in the final two games.
am i mistaken here? i was pretty confident in this and that it was this reason that he tried to play vs tex and tenn.
not finding anything on the intertron.
anyone know anything?
i'm about to get worked over on the recruiting board...

I'm not sure...hadn't heard. All I know is that Keelan got fucked over and didn't get a medical RS when that shitbag Dvorcaek got one the same year.

bohunk, exactly....
those verdicts or "consultations" as the possibility of a med RS year can and do take place during the season, correct?
not only did i originally believe that, but it'd also be weird to play the kid prematurely instead of getting him back for the next year when we'd be even thinner at LB.

I don't know, but I would guess they can get an informal "consultation" during the year to find out which direction the NCAA was going to lean. Otherwise, it wouldn't have made sense to play him.....but then it WAS Fran.
