Anyone been? Thinking about getting in on a trip at the end of the month. Sounds like we'd be there for 4 days mostly diving w/ some fishing mixed in. Any recommendations....pros...cons?

friend's dad's a pilot. had a 10 hour layover in belize and fell asleep on the beach...pretty fairskinned guy.

pretty much couldn't move for a week and couldn't even fly the plane home if i remember correctly.

this story is no way helpful.

Went there a few years ago. It sucked ass. Maybe I was in the wrong place, but we got off the cruise ship and went to the walled off "honkey" section. It was like being in a prison district for your own protection. Guards with pistol grip shotguns and MP5's.

If you wanted to leave the district they literally had to open up a fucking gate, while in the process begging you not to leave the safety of the enclave.

Maybe shit is better now.

The SCUBA diving is supposed to be world class.

The dive shop that I used to use had many trips there a year and they say it better than just about anywhere else in Mexico.

I've heard the cab driver's have a lot of connections with independent contracting females. There are no real dominant brothels or areas to go to, so they should prove to be an excellent source. I'm not sure on the price, so I'd make sure you had at least a hundo on you. Good luck!
