Oh no doubt, but fuck anyone who goes to a rival school's message board shitting on their own fans. It's a pussy ass move. It's the same as all these bastards who start threads saying shit like "Longhorn fans are making fun of us for (insert Aggie thing or tradtion here)." Who the fuck cares? They are our rivals....they are supposed to hate us! It seems like some "Aggies" care more about what other schools think or identify more with other schools that maybe they should root for those fucking schools instead. In my mind, when you sign up to be an Aggie (or an Aggie fan), you take the whole thing.....good and bad.....and that goes for a fan of any school or team. Not to say you can't criticize shit that's wrong with your team/school, but going so far as to give your rivals ammunition, give a shit what they say, or worse, go over to their board and bitch about our fans.

To me I'd rather have 100 fans that didn't know shit about basketball but that loved A&M than one guy who claims to love A&M but that goes over and talks shit on those 100 fans every chance he gets. The latter makes us look like even shittier fans that the know-nothing fans in my opinion.

i guess, bohunk. for the most part, i really don't give a fuck about what people think about a&m fans, but i'll be the first to admit we have 75% that are cool, normal fuckers and this fringe 25% that are the most insecure, over the top, just fucking bizarre fucking people on the face of the earth. the shitty thing is that this 25% is the most vocal, most endearing faction representing the whole school.

the best example is when they talk about that you have to attend school to be a "true aggie." who gives a fuck? if someone's watching a&m, rooting for a&m consistently, i really don't give a fuck if they went to school there or not. they're better aggies than half the fuckers i know. i think its just an opportunity for a ton of people that have always been the biggest fucking losers in the world to finally act exclusive and its so transparent it makes me sick.

the other classic example is when turge or bcg calls out the fans for their shitty ass attendance the fans go absolutely apeshit on them, make up every fucking excuse for why you can't get more than 12k vs. #1 KU when you're fighting for your tourney lives....just so much insecurity at a&m in a ton of respects.

i really don't care too much about bobinator doing that shit. in the season, i still just read the bball threads for shock value. i don't care about the fans that are new to bball and just getting into it, but the ones who have to start 100 threads talking about the most stupid shit are the ones i think bob was talking about.

i think this season was a huge indicator as to just how shitty our bball "fans" really are. they can laugh and think that OOC attendance, or lackthereof had absolutely nothing to do with bcg cutting out, but if i'm MT, i'd have been just fucking flabbergasted at that KU game. i think more than anything, that's when you realize that no matter how good you make that program, you're just a distraction b/w football seasons. bcg realized it and it took MT about 3 weeks to comment on it.

No, fuck, I know what you mean. I'm just wired such that any criticism of A&M fans makes me throw a big "fuck you" to everyone. And if it's opposing fans I don't care but if it's A&M fans bagging on other A&M fans, no matter how fucking stupid they are....then fuck 'em.
