Question: Not to talk about guys who left the program, but can any of the guys that have stayed, have they challenged you at all? Have they said, ‘hey coach this is not the way we did things before.’
Coach Rodriguez: “No, but I told them I wasn’t really interested in their opinion in that. We sit down and talk about it. When I sit down one and one with them, but when we get into a group setting and all that, I am not going to play…okay what do you all think, touchy feeling, I am not one of those, ‘are your feelings okay today’, ‘are you having a good day emotionally’. Hey it is time to work, blow the whistle and let’s go. If they are having a bad day, leave it outside the field. Cross the white lines and lets work. That is usually the way I am. I am not going to give them the number to Oprah or Dr. Phil, whoever let them express their feelings. I really don’t care.”

I sort of think Rodriguez is going to be a disaster at Michigan. Seems like he is coming in and blowing up the way they have done things for years a la Callahan at Nebraska (or Fran at A&M for that matter). He also isn't going to have the pussy ass schedule that he had at WVU.

top 3 returning OL have all left the program since he was hired. he's publically trashed them and mallet along with maningham and breaston. publically trying to talk trash to tressel now - very very stupid considering OSU is probably every one's preseason top 3 and one of the top favs for the championship (again).
some michigan fans on some of the big ten boards have said they think he'll be fired within 4 years. he hasn't even coached a game yet and he's already pissed off half the alumni

Coming out and speaking against the rampant cheating in college sports isn't exactly trying to talk trash to tressell. I think you're reading too much into this.

no. it was about him trying to steal recruits from other big 10 schools when he got there. they have an unwritten rule about recruiting other conference team's verbals. rrod said he didn't give a shit.
also, rrod won a ruling today where he can try to prove fraud against wvu. i don't mind rrod and have always thought he was a decent coach. would be funny as shit and a meltdown probably like no other if he did prove fraud against wvu. i'd retire and sell couches in morgantown if he does

I love this "gentlemans" agreement about not stealing recruits. Big 10 is a bunch of babies. Most haven't caught up with real world football.

respect, you mean like the big 10 coaches trashing the shit outta Zook when he took over at Ill.
This ain't the old days, too much money on the line. RR was brought in to win.
I wish it didn't happen. The Ags get negative recruited at all the fucking time. That's one thing I like about Sherman, he's telling the recruits that up front and telling what other schools north of B/CS will say before they say it.

as long as they aren't verballed to a big ten school they're fair game
the unwritten rule was that if a player committed to a big ten school, you backed off. rrod came in and went straight after committed players to other big ten schools. stole one from purdue and tried like hell to get one of the illini's top recruits. tressell was asked about it and siad something about he doesn't do that cause he's a gentleman. rrod isn't making friends with hs bretherin and he's picking a fight with the wrong one with the team he's fielding next year. i wouldn't expect the Buckeyes to keep it as conservative as they do in those games
