i for one don't give a shit about the mavs. living in dfw has made it even worse. after hearing all the trash talk last year and them losing in the first round was great. mavs fans can bash all SA/Htown fans they won't but it speaks volumes knowing these team's fans actually get along with eachother.

I've never been that fired up about the Mavs one way or another. And I do feel bad for hard-core Mavs fans who are watching the team implode. That said, Cuban has gotten a little too involved in some of this anti-Bush shit to suit me lately. By that I mean getting involved in the distribution of the wack-job Loose Change documenetry and backing that Redacted movie. He has the right to do that if he wants........and I have the right to smirk as his biggest toy goes down the shitter.

a someone who has no dog in this fight, i think it's more the mavs with the rivalry shit and the spurs and rockets fans laughing and pointing at the circus show. the mavs fans i see on texags usually spew the venom. the rockets and spurs fans usually cast the bait and then sit back and laugh at them

Absolutely. Fucking Memphis got gang-raped on this deal. Fucking brutal that an All-Star goes to the damn Lakers of all teams. Lakers were maybe the 5th best in the league before the deal, but now them in the Spurs are the best in the West. This should at least be a good Finals this year though, as whomever comes out of the Pistons/Celtics series will have as good of a shot as any team in the West.

surf, you're right re: the Mavs hatred/venom. Never used to be like that. Amazing what a few idiots can stir up. It started with Devp and Hostile mostle, and then Muy, Ribby, and several others joined in. Starting 50 threads after each fuckin playoff game against S.A. Guitarsoup stirs the pot on the Spurs side, but at least he knows his shit and posts stats/facts to back them up. There are a few good Mavs fans that you can tell have followed the team for awhile (agent, keithd, and a few others I'm leaving out), but they aren't the vocal majority. The idiots above are, which is why most non-Mavs fans on Texags wish failure upon them.
