Rumors out there on Ags Only that Gillispie to Okie State might happen. Would that make ANY sense?

Supposedly has to do with UK not liking all of the playboy stuff.

Man, I just couldn't see that happening after the in-season turnaround he pulled up there. Imagine the bad press.

That job could be the worse in the entire country, in terms of expectations and entitlements, in any sport. It runs a close first to the head football coach position at TAMU.

the rumor really isn't very new. it started over a month ago and died down.

and like someone else said....winning cures everything. you don't hear them complaining about his wild ways once he started winning. they don't care what the hell he does as long as they win.

and let's say they do decide to run him out of there (which i honestly do not believe they will do AT ALL), why in the hell would he go to OK state???? money??? gillispie is obviously not in it for money. he's in it for fame. what's more prestigious that UK? and he's obviously not interested in creating a legacy of his own at "lesser" basketball school, because he could've done that here. he left A&M because it would always be a "football" school. OK state isn't much different.

however, if he DID go to OK state, i would be PISSED!!!!!

not a big deal at all, but they're very much a school that takes pride in their bball.

they're kind of like us. not too much to show, but gallagher iba is regarded a very tough place to win and they have a good amount of history and a culture that's aching for a winner in hoops.

i'd be scared as fuck if bcg went to stillwater as i'm sure they really wouldn't tone down his womanizing either. it'd be a perfect world for him.

Looks like that statement is going to blow up in my face. Talked to some meth-head buddies of mine and read a few articles from the Oklahoman. Sentiment has changed in the past few weeks.


* Possible off-court problems for Sutton.
