probably only 5 will make it to the dance. 2 will end up as bubble teams going into the big 12 tourney. i say one out of baylor or OU is nit bound unless they do really good in the tourney

let me add A&M to the possible bubble team and before anyone tries to claim that because they are in the top 25 they'll get in automatically, let me remind you of 92-93 unlv running rebels that were ranked like 12th and didn't make the tourney (they were eligible that year)

if texas and kansas both win out it won't be an outright title. kansas will have to lose one

a&m is just a bad matchup for texas..Thye are to big unless texas is hitting everything. We will see.

i think kansas loses maybe 1 more, texas and kstate 1 maybe 2 more, A&M & baylor 2 maybe 3, and OU loses 3. OU will probably be on the outside looking in. the atlantic 10 is going to take a few spots from the big boys this year, especially if Xavier doesn't win the A-10 tourney. them, dayton, st. joes and probably rhode island all make it. dayton is getting back to full health now and they will make a lot of noise between now and the ncaas. acc get's 4 maybe 5 in this year. next year they will get more and wake will return to the top half of the conference

I think we go 2-3 down the stretch. I don't think 8-8 is strong enough to get us in. Even if we get in, we'll be fighting a major uphill battle. The home losses to Baylor and Okie Lite are inexcusable.

baylor is a matchup problem for A&M. i thought it's be a split (which it still may end up). okie lite just flat out wanted it more than A&M did from what i could tell.

It looks like TEXAS is the hottest and best team right now..They have learned to play defense and their shot is coming back. They will probably be a number 1 seed and they deserve it.. It will be hard for anuone to argue this. Kansas looks like they have hit the brakes while Texas is just getting better.

as long as Texas hasn't peaked yet. It all depends on who gets hot and plays hard once you get there.

If Texas gets a 1 seed and we sneak in with an 8 0r 9 seed, we could always play Texas in the second round if we were in the same bracket.

Texas gets a one seed it probably won't be in Houston...as stupid as that sounds, but their highest ranked "1 seed" - Tennessee - might be geographically closer to Houston than any other Regional.

That said, I would rather Texas be the highest ranked #2 seed, even though that is bull shit as we have beaten Tennessee handily this year on a neutral court, beaten UCLA at their place and beaten KU at home.

The highest ranked 2 seed might allow us to play closer to home - and with the final 4 and San Antonio...this might be a special year.

tenn gets the midwest
unc-duke gets the east
memphis gets the south
texas-ucla gets the west

still plenty of ball left so nothing's set in stone as of yet. kansas could play their way back to a #1 if texas stumbles. duke and unc could both end up #1's. once the conference tourney's start up it will be more clealy defined as to who the likely #1's are going to be
